Focused Livelihoods, Integrated WASH, and Protection Support for Syrian Refugees and Host Communities in Lebanon, 2017 - 2018

Development for People and Nature Association (DPNA) is a partner of Mercy Corps in the
implementation of the Bureau of Protection and Migration (BPRM) - funded "Focused
Livelihoods, Integrated WASH, and Protection Support for Syrian Refugees and Host
Communities in Lebanon, 2017 - 2018" program. This program will address basic water,
sanitation and hygiene needs, direct income to vulnerable families and immediate
concerns of 40,070 of the most vulnerable Syrian refugees and Lebanese host populations
Bekaa and South Lebanon.
The program envisions achieving its goal through the following specific objectives and associated interventions: Objectives 1: The most vulnerable refugees and host communities have access to water and sanitation facilities that meet Sphere and national standards and are applying safe hygiene and sanitation practices.
As an implementing partner of Mercy Corps in the WaSH component of this project (objective 1), and with support from the Mercy Corps team, DPNA will be responsible to implement social mobilization and hygiene promotion components of this program as per the activities outlined in the program proposal. Furthermore, DPNA is expected to assist in the assessment and identification of potential needs and gaps in humanitarian assistance.
