Target Audience
20 Youths, mainly activists and potential candidates for the upcoming municipal elections.
Overall Objective
The project is to operate as a forum for young people to discuss the problems and challenges in their communities, the role of municipalities have played over the past seven years, The role as citizens in holding these municipalities accountable. Moreover, this project is to strengthen the networking among activists, building on each other to form a draft proposal serving as the basis for building a work plan to activate the accountability principle.
Specific Objective
- Increasing awareness around policy-related problems and reforms-oriented solutions.
- Trainings / Round table discussion workshops address participant’s knowledge, and capacity building needs and build political knowledge.
- Increase accountability and advocacy engagements in South Lebanon.
- Develop one white paper articulating local aspirations, anti- corruption demands and accountability concerns.
