Overall Objective
To develop and organize Community outreach activities (utilizing Communication for development approaches) in Jezzine between the municipal police, Internal Security Forces, civil society actors and community members
Specific Objective
- Empower municipal police member to better employ community outreach approaches for an enhanced trust relationship with Jezzine community.
- Increase dialogue and encourage partnership/coordination between the municipal police, the ISF, Iocal government, citizens, and CSO for an enhanced sense of community security.
Achievements
The initiative that was conducted from the round tables which is installing street cameras in Jezzine to ensure safe and security. This will cover a huge gap the municipality and the community were facing.
Success Story
The dialogues fostered during the roundtables, along with the enhanced competencies acquired through these collaborative sessions, will not merely evaporate at the project's conclusion. Rather, they form the bedrock of a sustainable channel of communication between community members and municipal police, a channel that serves to bridge the gap and foster understanding beyond the project's lifecycle.
