Target Audience
- 20 women 18 to 45 years old, divided as 60% Syrian and 40% in between Lebanese and Palestinians.
- 10 children 13 to 17 years old, divided as 60% Syrian and 40% in between Lebanese and Palestinians.
- 200 community members taking part in the community awareness event.
- 20 women 18 to 45 years old taking part in the knowledge exchange sessions with 4 women from the previous digital empowerment project.
- 4 women-led businesses. (20 = 5 ind. Per business)
Overall Objective
To enhance women's empowerment, build children’s capacity on digital literacy in Saida Taamir, Lebanon, while advocating for digital literacy on a community level, thereby contributing to the overall well-being and economic growth of the community.
Specific Objective
- 20 women from Taamir area shall undertake a Women Digital Empowerment program, enabling them to actively participate in the digital economy and up-scale their income-generating ideas.
- 10 children from Taamir area shall undertake “Introduction to digital literacy” concepts. Children are growing up surrounded by technology, so it's essential to start building their digital skills from a young age.
- 240 individuals in the Saida Taamir community will have increased awareness and understanding of the importance of digital literacy to reduce the digital gender divide and foster a digitally inclusive environment.
